Marina Kravchenko

Marina Kravchenko ( Ukrainian Марина Кравченко Maryna Kravchenko ; born May 19, 1975 ) is an Israeli table tennis player born in Ukraine who was active in the 1990s and 2000s. She took part in 16 world championships and the 2004 Olympic Games .

Career

Marina Kravchenko was introduced to table tennis at the age of seven by her father, a Ukrainian national coach. In the early 1990s, she met her future husband, an Israeli "international class" wrestler, and therefore moved to Israel in 1994. From then on she performed internationally under the flag of Israel.

From 1993 to 2012 she took part in 16 world championships , but never came close to medal ranks. In 2004 she qualified for participation in the individual competition of the Olympic Games . Here she won against Arkhontoula Volakaki (Greece) and Otilia Bădescu (Romania) and then retired against the Croatian Tamara Boroš .
