Marina Sarkisova (born May 29, 1982 in Tashkent , Uzbek SSR ) is an Uzbek violinist .

Life

Sarkisova was born into an Armenian family of musicians. At the age of six she came to Nathan Mendelssohn at the "Uspensky School", a music high school for musically gifted children attached to the Tashkent Conservatory . Mendelssohn taught her the violin for the next eleven years. Since the independence of Uzbekistan (1991) Sarkisova has often been with her teacher on concert tours within Europe.

During her subsequent studies at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg with Daniel Gaede , she had numerous appearances as a soloist and played at various festivals such as u. a. at the " Kissinger Sommer ". In 2005 she switched to Mikhail Waiman at the Aachen University of Music .

Sarkisova performs regularly as a soloist with an orchestra and in a chamber music ensemble.

Prices (selection)

She won the International Violin Competition in Ankara ( Turkey ). Currently (2007) she is a scholarship holder of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra under Marek Janowski .
