Hildegard Klär

Hildegard Klär (* 1940 ) is a former Hessian politician ( SPD ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Hildegard Klär studied languages ​​in Hamburg and Innsbruck from 1960 to 1966 and then worked at AFS Interkulturelle Treffen eV until 1968. After a family break as a housewife, she worked as a lecturer at the VHS Oberursel from 1975 to 1990 and as a parish secretary from 1975 to 1980.

Working as an employee in the constituency of a member of the Bundestag from 1981 to 1993 and as a government employee in the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate from 1993 to 1995, she combined her partisan work with her profession.

After leaving the state parliament, Ms. Klär started a new job in the European department of the Berlin state representation of the federal state Rhineland-Palatinate in 2003 until she retired.

Hildegard Klär is a member of the SPD and holds many board positions there. Since 1985 she was a member of the Hochtaunus subdistrict board, 1985 to 1991 local association chairwoman in Glashütten , 1987–1991 deputy and 1991 to 1999 subdistrict chairwoman of the SPD in Hochtaunuskreis.

From 1985 to 1993 she was a member of the Glashütten council and from 1993 a member of the district council of the Hochtaunuskreis.

From April 5, 1995 to April 4, 2003 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament. Even if she could not win constituency 24 (Hochtaunus-West) in both elections, she was elected to the state parliament via the state list. From April 5, 1995 to April 4, 1999, she was deputy chairwoman of the European Committee and a member of the Petitions Committee. Hildegard Klär was media policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for four years.

In 2015, Klär received the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for its diverse political, social and cultural commitment.

Other offices

Hildegard Klär has been a board member of the Hessian Adult Education Association since 2000. She is strongly active in the European Union , was chairwoman of the European Union in the Hochtaunus, deputy state chairwoman of the European Union of Hesse and member of the Presidium of the European Union Germany.
