Navy Rifle Brigade North

The Marine-Schützen-Brigade Nord was a German naval rifle brigade during World War II .

The brigade was set up in Husum in Schleswig-Holstein in October 1944 . The unit was renamed the 1st Marine Infantry Division on January 30, 1945 and immediately afterwards it was relocated to the Lower Oder for use against the Red Army .
