Marine Camara

Marine Fatoumata Colerte Camara (born January 28, 1995 in Clamart , France) is a French- Malian boxer . As a representative of Mali, her father's country of origin, she participated in the 2019 African Games.

Life

Camara, a corporate management student, started boxing when she was 14. At the African Games 2019 in Rabat and her first official competition, she won the silver medal in the final of the boxing tournament in the featherweight category (under 57 kg), losing to Keamogetse Sadie Kenosi from Botswana. In the quarterfinals she prevailed against the Ugandan Colerta Nali Jallia and in the semifinals against the Cameroonian Dorine Stéphane Mambou .
