Marino Golinelli (born October 11, 1920 ) is an Italian entrepreneur and art collector .

Life

Golinelli graduated from the Università di Bologna with a degree in pharmacy at the age of 23 . On January 24, 1948 , he founded his first company by taking over the small laboratory Biochimici ALFA - Alimenti fattori accessori . In 1955 the construction of a new building began. In the 1980s he expanded abroad and acquired brands such as Schiapparelli and Wassermann , whereupon he renamed his company Alfa Wassermann . Since 2015, the company has been operating under the name Alfa Sigma with the acquisition of Sigma-tau and has around 2,800 employees in 18 countries, including around 1,800 in Italy.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, Golinelli collects contemporary art . In 1988 he created the Fondazione Golinelli in Bologna .

He is a member of the Fondo Ambiente Italiano , the ARPAI - Associazione per il restauro del patrimonio artistico italiano and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection Venice.
