Mario Brandenburg (born October 3, 1983 in Bad Bergzabern ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .

Life and work

Mario Brandenburg studied in the Bachelor at the University of Karlsruhe and graduated at the University of Ludwigshafen , a study of economic computer science with a master (M.Sc.) from. Since then he has been employed by the software group SAP , where he initially worked in software development, then in consulting and finally in international product sales.

Brandenburg is married, has two children and lives in Rülzheim in the south of the Palatinate .

Party and politics

Brandenburg has been a member of the FDP since 2010. In the 2014 local elections, he was elected to both the municipal council and the association council of Rülzheim.

In 2017, Brandenburg ran in the federal electoral district of Southern Palatinate and ranked third on the state list of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate for the 2017 federal election and was thus elected member of the 19th German Bundestag on September 24, 2017 .

In the Bundestag, Brandenburg is chairman of the Committee for Digital Agenda and the “Artificial Intelligence” commission of inquiry. Brandenburg is also represented as a full member of the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment.
