Mario Cecchini

Mario Cecchini (born January 25, 1933 in Piticchio di Arcevia ) is former bishop of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola .

Life

Mario Cecchini was ordained a priest on March 16, 1958 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Fano, Fossombrone and Cagli e Pergola on February 11, 1986. The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America , Bernardin Cardinal Gantin , dedicated it on March 16 of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were Odo Fusi Pecci , Bishop of Senigallia , and Marcello Morgante , Bishop of Ascoli Piceno .

After the union of the dioceses of Fossombrone, Fano and Cagli e Pergola, he became bishop of the newly founded diocese of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola on September 30, 1986. He resigned from his office on September 8, 1998.
