Vittorio Tomassetti

Vittorio Tomassetti (born June 28, 1930 in Staffolo , Ancona province , Italy , † January 6, 2008 in Fano ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Fano .

Life

Vittorio Tomassetti was ordained a priest on August 23, 1953 .

In 1992 he was appointed bishop of the suburbicarian diocese of Palestrina by Pope John Paul II . The episcopal ordination donated him on June 28, 1992 Bernardin Cardinal Gantin , who as cardinal bishop exercised the patronage of the diocese of Palestrina; Co- consecrators were Franco Festorazzi , Archbishop of Ancona , and Carlo Maccari , Old Archbishop of Ancona.

In 1997 he was appointed coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola. In 1998 Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola.

In 2007 Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation of Vittorio Tomassetti.

Vittorio Tomassetti was buried in his birthplace, Staffolo.
