Franco Festorazzi

Franco Festorazzi (born November 29, 1928 in Perledo , Province of Lecco , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo .

Life

Franco Festorazzi studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University and was ordained a priest on June 28, 1952 . From 1955 to 1966 he worked as a professor in the seminary of Como before he moved to the University of Milan as a professor of biblical theology .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Ancona-Osimo on April 6, 1991 . The Bishop of Como Alessandro Maggiolini donated him episcopal ordination on May 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Teresio Ferraroni , Bishop Emeritus of Como, and his predecessor Dionigi Tettamanzi , General Secretary of the Italian Bishops' Conference .

On January 8, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
