Teresio Ferraroni (born December 8, 1913 in Gaggiano , Province of Milan , Italy ; † September 4, 2007 in Lecco , Lombardy ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Como from 1974 to 1989 .

Life

Teresio Ferraroni was ordained priest on June 6, 1936 in Milan . He was by Pope Paul VI. In 1965 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Milan and titular bishop of Gauriana . The episcopal ordination donated him on January 8, 1967 Giovanni Cardinal Colombo .

In 1970 he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Felice Bonomini in the Diocese of Como . In 1974 he was appointed bishop. During his tenure in Como, the Palazzo Vescovile , the seat of the diocese, was restored. He was the re-founder of the seminary in Muggiò . His resignation in 1989 was granted by John Paul II .

Ferraroni was active in the resistance during World War II . After the end of the war, together with Achille Grandi, he was an essential initiator of the establishment of the ACLI Associazioni Cristiane Lavoratori Italiani .
