Fabrizia is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Vibo Valentia in the Calabria region with 2078 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The patron saint of the place is St. Anthony of Padua .

Location and dates

Fabrizia is located 50 kilometers southeast of Vibo Valentia in the valley of the Allara River . The place is at an altitude of 947 meters above sea level. The municipality covers an area of ​​40  km² . The neighboring municipalities are Acquaro , Arena , Galatro (RC), Grotteria (RC), Martone (RC), Mongiana , Nardodipace and San Pietro di Caridà (RC). The municipality borders the province of Reggio Calabria .

Fabrizia is the only place in the Serre Calabresi with a view of the Ionian Sea .

Attractions

After the earthquake in 1783 the parish church was rebuilt.
