San Nicola da Crissa is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1267 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers east-southeast of Vibo Valentia and borders directly on the province of Cosenza .
history
The city of Crissa was a Greek colony of the city of Focea antica in Asia Minor around 650 BC. The Romans destroyed the city.
