Francica is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1643 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria . The community is located about 6.5 kilometers south-southeast of Vibo Valentia .

Francica was founded during the Norman rule. It was severely damaged in the March quake in 1638.
