Dinami

Dinami is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1995 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria . The municipality is located about 20 kilometers south-southeast of Vibo Valentia and borders directly on the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria . The Mesima flows through Dinami . The municipality is also part of the Comunità Montana dell'Alto Mesima .

history

The place has been hit by natural disasters more often. Earthquakes destroyed the place in 1638, 1659, 1783 and 1908. Floods in 1959 and 1987 caused severe damage to the houses and the infrastructure.
