Capistrano is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 984 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vibo Valentia in Calabria .

Geographical location

The municipality is located about 16.5 kilometers east-northeast of Vibo Valentia and borders directly on the province of Cosenza . Along the western edge of the municipality, the Strada statale 110 di Monte Cucco e Monte Pecoraro leads from Monasterace to Pizzo . The neighboring communities are Chiaravalle Centrale (CZ), Filogaso , Maierato , Monterosso Calabro , San Nicola da Crissa , San Vito sullo Ionio (CZ) and Torre di Ruggiero (CZ).
