Mario Foglietti

Mario Foglietti (born January 25, 1936 in Catanzaro ; † November 8, 2016 there ) was an Italian screenwriter and television director .

Life

Folgietti made his theater debut; At the end of the 1950s he was engaged in the "Ridotto dell'Eliseo". He worked as a film critic and since 1962 also for television, in which he was responsible for numerous reports and was engaged for a series of interviews. In 1971 he worked with Dario Argento on the script for 4 mosche di velluto grigio , before two years later he took over the directing (based on his own book) with Le bambole . Like the 1975 created L'uomo dagli occhiali a specchio , the work for Argento's loose series of films was produced under the surtitle La porta sul buio . In the following years he wrote numerous screenplays and original scripts and directed the screen, including mini-series such as Aspetterò , L'enigma delle due sorelle and Incontrarsi e dirso addio .

In addition to his practical work, Foglietti also wrote several books on film.

Folgietti died in Catanzaro in November 2016 at the age of 80.
