Mario Gadda

Mario Gadda (born March 13, 1931 in Sorgà ; † July 13, 2008 in Mantua ) was an Italian violin maker who worked in Mantua.

Life

Mario Gadda was a son and the only student of the Italian violin maker Gaetano Gadda (1900–1956), who was himself a student of the renowned violin maker Stefano Scarampella (1843–1925). Gadda ran a workshop in Sant'Antonio di Porto Mantovano that specialized in the reproduction of Balestrieri and Scarampella instruments .
