Mario Hené (born February 8, 1954 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) is a German songwriter .

Life

Hené grew up with his brother Piet with his mother Hilde in the Märkisches Viertel in West Berlin . His father died when Mario was three years old. Hené started playing the guitar at the age of twelve . In addition to classical pieces he got to the fingerpicking of folk musicians . This mixture of styles characterizes the music of Mario Hené.

In 1977 he released his debut album Lieber alone as lonely together , followed by seven more albums by 1990.

From the late 1990s to 2012 Hené performed together with Jürgen von der Lippe . Together they released various CDs.

In 2007, the book The Way to Smile , written together with Arne Salig, was published - a guide based on Hené's lyrics.

Since 2006, Hené has been on a solo tour in Germany with the program “Leise ist loud enough”. After a 20-year break, a new solo album was released for the first time under the same name in 2012.
