Mario Juárez (born January 19, 1964 ) is a former Mexican soccer player who played predominantly in midfield .

career

Juárez has been under contract with Monarcas Morelia throughout his professional career . He played his first game in the Mexican professional league for the Monarcas on September 4, 1983 in an away game at Club Atlante (1: 1), his last encounter in the top Mexican division he completed on November 3, 1999 with a 2-1 home win against Toros Neza .

Juárez, who played for the Monarcas for 16 years, ended his active career a year too early to enjoy the only championship title in the history of the Morelia club , which they won in the 2000 winter tournament . But Juárez was voted “best Monarcas-Elf” of all time by the Mexican sports newspaper Récord .
