Mario del Valle Moronta Rodríguez

Mario del Valle Moronta Rodríguez (born February 10, 1949 in Caracas ) is a Roman Catholic bishop .

He was ordained a priest on April 19, 1975. On April 4, 1990 he was appointed titular bishop of Nova by Pope John Paul II and appointed auxiliary bishop in Caracas, Santiago di Venezuela. He received the episcopal ordination on May 27, 1990 by José Ali Cardinal Lebrún Moratinos ; Archbishops Domingo Roa Perez and Miguel Antonio Salas Salas were co-consecrators . On December 2, 1995, John Paul II appointed him Diocesan Bishop of Los Teques ; on April 14, 1999 he became Bishop of San Cristóbal de Venezuela .

On September 22, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI called him . as a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith .
