Marion Tietz

Marion Tietz (born November 17, 1952 in Berlin ) is a former German handball player .

She played for TSC Berlin . With the GDR selection , she won silver at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and bronze at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow . In 1975 and 1978 she became world champion with this team, and she was also in the GDR squad at the 1973 and 1982 world championships. In 1976 and 1979 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

In 188 international matches , she scored 345 goals.
