Marion Winkel-Wergen

Marion Winkel-Wergen (born March 8, 1957 in Heimbach ) is a German artist and ceramist .

Marion Winkel-Wergen has been working in her studio in Heimbach (Eifel) since 1996. She became known nationwide for her bird sculptures and light envelopes, which are made from ceramic, metal and stone.

Her exhibitions were Art of Eden in the botanical garden in Krefeld and Darmstadt (2003–2007), Neef sculpture garden in Cologne-Sürth (1999) and Big Heads - Weird Birds in the Sailer in Wissen gallery (2004). She is a founding member of the Augenweide group, which has been in existence in Heimbach since 2006, the working group of gallery owners and artists from Heimbach. The aim of the group is to enrich the cultural program in Heimbach with art.

In 2008 she exhibited her new work on the Euregio Ceramics Market in the Raeren Pottery Museum . She was awarded the visitor prize for the best presentation and her dushis. The Raeren Pottery Museum is exhibiting one of their works of art as part of the exhibition of the winners of recent years.
