Elveos, who started for Bodø & Omegn Idrettslag, had her first international success at the Junior World Ski Championships in Trondheim in 1984 . There she won the gold medal with the relay. She ran her first of 30 individual World Cup races in March 1984 in Lahti , which she finished in 15th place over 5 km. In December 1986 she came in Cogne with seventh place in the 20 km freestyle for the first time in the top ten. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she came 18th in the 20 km freestyle. In March 1988, she finished third with the relay in Falun . In the 1989/90 season she came in the points four times in five World Cup appearances. In Soldier Hollow she achieved her best result in the World Cup individual with fourth place over 5 km classic and her best overall result at the end of the season with 15th place in the overall World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in the Fiemme Valley , she finished 36th over 10 km freestyle, 33rd place over 30 km freestyle and 29th place over 15 km classic. In March 1991 she took third place with the relay in Oslo . In 1994 she won the Birkebeinerrennet . She completed her last World Cup race in March 1994 in Oslo, which she finished in 25th place over 15 km freestyle.
At Norwegian championships she was four times third (1984, 1987, 1990, 1997) and three times second (1985, 1988, 1989) with the relay.
