Marius Hoppe

Marius Hoppe (* 1993 in Krefeld ) is a German kitesurfer . His biggest success so far is third place at the 2016 Kitesurfing World Championships.

Life

Hoppe grew up in Krefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia . During a vacation in Tenerife , Hoppe became interested in kitesurfing. He finished his training as a greenkeeper in Germany before moving to Tenerife and opening a kite school. He used the proceeds from the kite school to finance participation in kitesurfing value competitions. He is considered one of the world's best kite surfers in the “Big Air” category. In 2015 he took part in the Virgin Kiteboard World Championship , the kitesurfing world championship, for the first time and reached fifth place. In 2016 he reached number three.

In 2017, Hoppe was one of 21 participants in the fourth season of the RTL reality show Adam sucht Eva - Stranded in Paradise , which was broadcast in November 2017.
