Mariusz Wodzicki

Mariusz Wodzicki is a Polish mathematician who studies analysis , algebraic K-theory , non-commutative geometry, and algebraic geometry .

Wodzicki received his PhD in 1984 at the Steklow Institute in Moscow with Yuri Manin (Spectral Asymmetry and Zeta-Functions). He is a professor at the University of California, Berkeley .

In 1992 he was invited speaker at the European Congress of Mathematicians in Paris (Algebraic K-theory and functional analysis). In 1994 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Zurich (The algebra of functional analysis).
