Mark "Marco" Bresciano (born February 11, 1980 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian soccer player whose parents come from Italy and Croatia . Most recently he played for Al-Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League . Bresciano ended his career in the summer of 2016.

Bresciano moved for the first time abroad to FC Empoli in the Italian Serie B in the 1999/2000 season . In his second season he became a regular player. After a total of three seasons in Tuscany , Bresciano moved to AC Parma (from 2004 FC Parma ) in Serie A for the 2002/03 season . In Parma, the Australian was immediately used on a regular basis. After a short time, Bresciano was one of the most important performers of his team there. For the 2006/07 season he moved to league rivals US Palermo , where he was used regularly. For the 2010/11 season, Bresciano signed with Lazio Rome until June 30, 2012. After a year he moved to Al-Nasr in the United Arab Emirates. He last played for Al-Gharafa, became a clubless in 2015 and then ended his career in 2016.
National team
2001 Bresciano made his debut for the Australian national team . Since then, he has scored eleven goals in his 56 games for his country.
Bresciano was part of the Australian squad at the 2006 , 2010 and 2014 World Cups .
Private
Bresciano has been selling cannabis for some time and, along with a business partner, has invested in Greenhope, a company that makes marijuana-based medicines.
