Mark Broom (* 1971 in London ) is a British techno - musicians and - DJ .

Career

At the time of the Second Summer of Love in 1989, while on vacation in Tenerife , Broom first heard of new genres such as Chicago House and Acid House . On his return home, he bought his first record player and pursued his musical career from then on. In the vicinity of the London record store FatCat , he met Baby Ford and Ed Handley and Andy Turner from Black Dog Productions . Together with Handley and Turner, the first publications for General Productions Records were created. With Steve Pickton he released several singles from 1994 under the project name Kapè Ill Miester .

Together with Dave Hill he founded Pure Plastic Recordings in 1994, on which Broom's debut album Angie Is A Shoplifter appeared in 1996 . Broom, Hill, Handley and Turner released an album and various EPs together under the name Repeat .

Together with Hill, the albums Summer Of Blood (1998) and Indoor Culture (2001) followed under the project name Rue East . Broom and Hill published under numerous other project names such as Midnight Funk Association , Sympletic , Visitor , Voyectra , and White Lines .

In addition to his own publications, Broom is also active as a remixer for other musicians and provided reworks for tracks by Dubfire , Edit Select , Deepgroove , DJ 3000 and Wally Lopez , among others .
