Peter Ford , better known as Baby Ford , is a British DJ and music producer and was instrumental in the development of Acid House . He also published under various pseudonyms , such as B. Cassino Classix , El Mal , Solcyc and Simprini Risin .

Life

Ford was the musicians Marshall Jefferson , Ron Trent , Armando and Larry Heard from Chicago affected. He was one of the founders of the acid house movement in the UK club scene. His first release was on the Rhythm King record label and included the club tracks Oochy Koochy and Chikki Chikki Ahh Ahh . Both tracks were mixed in different variations and were heavily influenced by the burgeoning acid house scene.

The second album, Ooh the World of Baby Ford , which included three singles, was most successful with Children of the Revolution . This made him a worldwide club hit.

With the BFORD9 longplayer in 1992 he broke new ground and was more oriented towards minimal techno , which he varied with trance influences. Working with Mark Broom, he deepened his experience in minimalist electronic dance music. The result was the CD "Ifach Vol. 1". Together with Klaus Kotai and Jochen Bader, the Birds project was created in 1997 , which released a single and an album on the PAL SL label. With Kotai he released an EP on Elektro Music Department in 2000 under the name Midnight Caller .

In his career he has published on various record labels such as Sire or Insumision / Transglobal . He was also involved in the management of the two labels Trelik Records and Ifach Records . "Ford Trax" was added to The Wire's "100 Records That Set The World On Fire (While No One Was Listening)" wirelist .
