Mark Buchanan

Mark Buchanan (born October 31, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio ) is an American physicist and author.

He studied theoretical physics at the University of Virginia , USA, where he also received his doctorate in 1993. Living in Great Britain from 1995 , he worked as a science journalist and editor for the journal Nature and then for the popular science journal New Scientist . He currently writes a monthly column for the journal Nature Physics .

Today Buchanan lives as a freelance writer in Normandy , France . He has published four books so far.

He is not identical to Pastor Mark Buchanan, who lives in Canada and is also active as a writer .
