Mark Eins , born Mark Christiansen , was adopted from an orphanage in Flensburg as Edmund Brummer (born March 8, 1956 in Flensburg ) is a German musician , painter and actor .

Life

In 1974, Mark Eins set out on a world tour from Flensburg that lasted two years and studied the world's musical culture on site. In 1976 he was hired on a freighter for two years and worked as a seaman.

In 1978 Mark Eins moved to West Berlin and founded the band DIN A Testbild with Gudrun Gut . In their style, elements of later techno music can already be recognized. Musically they are ahead of their time. Appearances in SO36 in Berlin and in Ratinger Hof in Düsseldorf followed.

In 1979 the first single with the title Abfall Garbage / Glas Konkav was released . At the New Year's Eve concert in the Latin Quarter in Berlin, DIN A Testbild performed together with bands such as Tempo and White Russia .

1980 first record deal with the label of Klaus Schulze Innovative Communication . The LPs Program 1 and Program 2 were produced in cooperation with Klaus Schulze . Appearance at the Festival Genialer Dilletanten in the Berlin Tempodrom together with Einstürzende Neubauten , Die Tödliche Doris and Frieder Butzmann . Action with the painter Barbara Heinisch in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien , Berlin, the picture OSTERN II, Collection Pax-Christi-Kirche, Krefeld is created. Mark Eins played the male lead in the film Rote Liebe by Rosa von Praunheim and composed the score.

In 1982, program 3 of DIN A Testbild appeared. Mark Eins played the leading role in the short film Ginger Hel by David Vostell and composed the score.

In 1984 Innovative Communication rejected the new album from DIN A Testbild Programm 4 . The extravagant mix of pop and techno is too experimental and a few years too early for the mainstream, which is still influenced by the Neue Deutsche Welle .

From 1985 Mark Eins appeared increasingly as a solo artist and exhibited his pictures in various galleries.

In 1989 the sampler The Voice of Music was released with titles by Laurie Anderson , Tangerine Dream and DIN A Testbild . In the same year the CD Leipzig and Coca Cola appears . In 1990 Best of DIN A Testbild appeared . 1993 sex and chaos .

In 2006 Mark Eins founded his own label called Testbild Music and released Fractal Trash and Bleeding Heart . With DIN A test picture program 5 , Mark Eins continued the series of programs that began in the early 1980s in 2007. 2010 Release of the album DIN A Testbild Programm 6 . In 2017 Mannequin Records released Program 4 .
