Mark Simpson
Mark Simpson (* 1965 in York ) is a British journalist and writer .
Life
Simpson is primarily concerned with issues of gender , sexuality, and pop culture . In 1994 the expression “ metrosexual ” was coined by him, later also “ retrosexual ”. He is the editor of the collection of articles Anti-Gay , in which homosexual and bisexual writers discussed the flaws of gay culture. He is the author of, among others, Saint Morrissey , a self-styled “psycho-biography” about the former front man of The Smiths .
