Markies van Heusden
Markies van Heusden (German Marquis von Heusden ) is a hereditary Dutch nobility title . The title refers to the fortress town of Heusden on the Maas in North Brabant .
Award
The title was bestowed by royal decree of July 8, 1815, No. 14, by King William I to the British Ambassador to the Netherlands, Richard Le Poer Trench, 2nd Earl of Clancarty . He had also participated in the agreement on the border of the Netherlands at the Congress of Vienna .
