Manuela Linshalm (born February 5, 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress and puppeteer .

Life and career

Manuela Linshalm grew up in Vienna's third district (Erdberg) and attended the Schützengasse grammar school there. She studied journalism and communication science as well as English and psychology at the University of Vienna . After graduating in 2001, she attended the Franz Schubert Conservatory for Music and Performing Arts (graduated in 2004). Her acting training took place u. a. with Jerry Coyle and Beverly Blankenship , vocals a. a. with Rebecca Blankenship and Christine West and Tanz u. a. at Margit Manhardt Studios.

In contact and cooperation with the puppeteer and puppet maker Nikolaus Habjan , she devoted herself to puppet theater from 2008 onwards . Further workshops followed, including a. at Neville Tranter . She has been a lecturer at the Vienna Film Academy since 2009 .

As an actor she worked in productions of the Wiener Festwochen , the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Wiener Kammerspiele , the Herrenseetheater Litschau and the Interkulttheater. The puppet theater brought her to the Linz State Theater , the Vienna Rabenhof and to various guest appearances at festivals in Austria, Germany (including the Residenztheater (Munich) ) and Switzerland.
