The Marktplatz 5 building in Günzburg , a town in the Swabian district of Günzburg , was built in the 17th century. The half-timbered house is a protected architectural monument .

history

The house was owned by the city in the 18th century and was used by the city ​​clerk . At the beginning of the 19th century, the rear building, a barn on Hofgasse, was demolished to make way for a residential building. In 1956/57 the two basement floors were redesigned, whereby the baroque porch was replaced by a construction made of glass and steel.

The three-storey, gable roof building has three window axes . The framework was renewed in 1907. The second floor and the gable protrude slightly on protruding beam heads. The window was enlarged over time. The cellar has a barrel vault .
