Markus Giesler

Markus Giesler (born July 20, 1976 in Iserlohn ) is a German consumer researcher and associate professor for marketing at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto .

His main research interests are sociology and anthropology in marketing and consumption .

Life

Markus Giesler studied economics at the Private University of Witten / Herdecke and the Kellogg School of Management . He was also a Research Fellow in the Marketing Department of the Kellogg School of Management (2001–2003) and a Visiting Scholar at the Stockholm University School of Business (2003). In 2004 he received his doctorate "summa" with a thesis on market systems.

Markus Giesler is a member of the American Marketing Association , the Association for Consumer Research, and the Canadian Association for the Club of Rome.
