Markus Guthmann (2012)

Markus Guthmann (* 1964 in Pirmasens , Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a German journalist and writer . He writes detective novels and short stories as well as historical articles in daily newspapers. Most of his stories take place in the Palatinate and his best-known investigator duo consists of the senior public prosecutor Röder and the noble winemaker Hellinger in the series "Weinstraßenkrimis", which is published by Emons Verlag.

Life

After childhood and youth in Pirmasens, Guthmann studied industrial engineering and published specialist articles on information technology in c't , computer newspaper , digital engineering , until he finally found his way to crime literature. For several years he has been devoting himself increasingly to the history of the Palatinate and has been writing articles for Palatinate daily newspapers.

Guthmann is a member of the " Syndicate ". He supports the SWR Herzenssache or the Sterntaler children's hospice in Mannheim with readings.

Markus Guthmann is married and has two children. He lives in the Bad Dürkheim district and works in the management of a company.
