The French men's national hockey team represents France at international hockey tournaments such as the hockey world championships and European championships .
The hockey team has so far participated in the Olympic Games nine times , each with a fourth place three times as the best result (1920, 1928, 1936). France is qualified to host the Olympic Games in 2024 . So far, the team has participated in world championships three times; last finished in 2018 with an 8th place in the final ranking.
