The Malaysian men's national hockey team represents Malaysia on an international level, for example at the World Hockey Championship , the Champions Trophy or the Summer Olympics .

Malaysia has so far participated in nine Olympic Games and six world championships. The greatest successes are the two-time qualification for the Champions Trophy , the tournament of the eight world's best hockey teams (1993, 2007) and fifth place at the 1975 World Cup. On the Asian level, Malaysia has various successes at the Asian Games (silver medal 2010 and a total of 7 bronze -Medals), as well as a bronze medal at the Hockey Asia Cup 2007.

The Malaysian national hockey team for men was coached by Volker Knapp (1993-1998) and Paul Lissek (1998-1999, 2000-2003).

Malaysia is currently ranked 13th in the world - and 4th in Asia.
