Markus Loth

Markus Loth (* 1968 in Weilheim i.OB ) is a German local politician ( voters group Citizens for Weilheim ).

Career

Loth completed an apprenticeship as a social security clerk in the middle service from 1984 to 1987 . Between 1989 and 1991 he trained as a health insurance specialist in the senior service . From 1997 to 2002 he was division manager at AOK Weilheim.

In 2001 he became a member of the Citizens for Weilheim voter group (BfW). In September 2001 he presented his candidacy for the mayor's office in Weilheim. In the runoff election on March 17, 2002, he prevailed against Matthias Bayer ( CSU ) with 56.2 percent of the vote . This was the first time in 56 years that a CSU politician was defeated. Loth was confirmed in office as the first mayor in 2008 and 2014. On July 15, 2020 Markus Loth was at the 56th General Assembly of the Bay. City days for the 2nd deputy chairman of the Bay. Loth is married for the third time and has a daughter.
