Markus Matthiasson (born November 16, 1975 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Helsingborgs HC in Division 1 since 2011 .

Career

Markus Matthiasson began his professional career in the 1992/93 season with the then Swedish second division club Almtuna IS in Uppsala , where he was under contract until 1996 and scored 55 goals in 105 games. From Uppsala he moved to Timrå IK in 1996 , where he signed a contract again in 1999 after the intermediate stations Djurgårdens IF (59 games, 1 goal) and Huddinge IK (41 games, 22 goals). Until 2004 Matthiasson was under contract with this club and scored 108 goals in 282 games.

In 2004 Matthiasson moved to the Malmö Redhawks and received a three-year contract there. In the three years Matthiasson scored 48 goals in 177 completed games before moving to HK Jesenice in the Austrian EBEL in 2007 . After a year in which he was on the ice 35 times and scored 17 goals, he moved within the league to EHC Linz , where he has been under contract ever since. After the 2009/10 season, he first ended his playing career. For the 2011/12 season, however, he continued his career in third-class Division 1 at Helsingborgs HC .
