Markus Osterwalder

Markus Osterwalder (born July 6, 1947 in Schlieren , Canton of Zurich ) is a children's book author and previously worked as an editor , graphic designer , layouter and artistic director of a children's book publisher.

Live and act

Markus Osterwalder began his career as a graphic designer at a school book publisher in Paris and worked for Akut magazine in Hamburg. Later he was a layouter for ZEITmagazin . For many years he was the artistic director of the French children's book publisher L'école des loisirs. He is also active as an author. He is particularly known for his children's book series Bobo Siebenschläfer , a series of bedtime stories in which little Bobo always falls asleep at the end. Markus Osterwalder is also the editor of the illustrator reference work Dictionnaire des Illustrateurs 1800–1914.

Markus Osterwalder lives and works in Arcueil near Paris .
