Markus Strömbergsson
Markus Strömbergsson (* 26. April 1975 in Gävle ) is a Swedish football - referee .
Career
Strömbergsson from Gävle made his debut at the association level in 1996 as a referee. In 2002 he moved up to the referee in the second-rate Superettan , where he subsequently proved himself and was promoted to the Allsvenskan Referee from the 2003 first division season .
2006 Strömbergsson rose to the FIFA referee. He gained international experience in the UEFA Intertoto Cup and the UEFA Cup and its successor, the Europa League . In June 2009 he led a compulsory international match in the men's field for the first time when he led the game between Wales and Azerbaijan as part of the qualification for the 2010 World Cup .
