Marlene Gomez-Islinger (born April 25, 1993 ) is a German triathlete .

Career

Marlene Gomez-Islinger started the triathlon at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. She took seventh place in the girls' singles and fourth place in the relay in the “Europe 2” team.

In 2012, Marlene Gomez-Islinger was the German junior triathlon champion.

Marlene Gomez-Islinger became ETU European Cross Triathlon Champion in the U23 class in September 2013.

After studying-related abstinence from triathlon for more than two years, Marlene Gomez-Islinger was able to take second place at the European Cup in Dnipro (Ukraine) in June 2019 with a strong final run. In August, the 26-year-old finished seventh at the German championship on the triathlon sprint distance. In autumn 2019, she finished 9th in the sprint distance in World Cup races in Tongyeong (KOR) and 10th in the Olympic distance in Miyazaki (JPN).

Marlene Gomez-Islinger lives and trains in Ulm .
