Maros is an Indonesian city ​​in the South Sulawesi Province , northeast of Makassar . It is the capital of the Maros administrative district .

economy

The Indonesian Cereals Research Institute, a division of the Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development, is located in Maros City.

In 2012, the regional cement producer PT Semen Bosowa Maros began building a new cement clinker line with a planned cost of more than 300 million US dollars. The clinker production line is intended to help the company meet the growing demand for building materials in this region.
