Marotrao Sambashio Kannamwar

Marotrao Sambashio Kannamwar (born January 10, 1900 in Chanda District , British India , † November 25, 1963 in Bombay ) was an Indian politician of the Indian National Congress (INC), who was Chief Minister of Maharashtra between 1962 and 1963 .

Life

Kannamwar was elected in 1957 as a candidate for the Indian National Congress (INC) to be a member of the legislative assembly of the state of Bombay , where he represented the constituency of Saoli . After the founding of the state of Maharashtra on May 1, 1960, he became a member of the legislative assembly of Maharashtra and was a member of the legislative assembly of Saoli until his death on November 25, 1963. On November 19, 1962, he replaced Yeshwantrao Balwantrao Chavan as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and held this office until his death on November 25, 1963, whereupon the previous Minister for Tax Revenue Vasantrao Phulsing Naik was his successor on December 5, 1963.
