Mars oasis

The Mars Oasis is a species-rich Antarctic oasis on the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . Surrounded by ponds interspersed wetland located at the confluence of Mars Glacier in George VI Sound at the foot of the Two Step Cliffs .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1994 based on the naming of the neighboring glacier. This is named after the planet Mars .
