Marsigliana Nera

Marsigliana or Marsigliana Nera is a red wine variety that is cultivated in the Italian region of Calabria . It is, for example, the DOC - Wine Lamezia included. In the early 1990s, 106 hectares of vineyards were raised. Smaller stocks are also known in Tunisia.

In the past, Marsigliana Nera was often confused with the red Greco Nero variety, also grown in Calabria .

There is also a white grape variety called Marsigliana Bianca . In Sicily , however, this is usually a synonym for the Regina variety .

Marsigliana Nera is also known under the synonyms or varieties Marcigliana, Marsigliana di Calabria, Marsagliana di Sicilia, Marsigliana Niuro, Uva Greca and Vinciguerra.
