Marsstenge

Marsstenge is the part of the mast above the first spreader , the Marssaling. He carries on the belonging Rah , the Marsrah, the topsail or if two sails are rigged at this topmast, at the Untermarsrah the lower topsail and the Obermarsrah the upper topsail . In the steel sailors of the early 20th century, the Mars stalk was made of wood for reasons of weight, although the mast was made of steel.
