Marta Banfalvi (* before 1982 in Hungary ) is a Hungarian opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Marta Banfalvi graduated from the commercial academy and studied singing, classical operetta and opera with Esther Réthy at the University of Music Budapest and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . She graduated with honors. She took part in master classes with Mario del Monaco in 1982 and with Birgit Nilsson in 1987.

She is a member of the Vienna State Opera and in the Opera Studio of the Vienna State Opera.

Since 1981 she has been singing at the Vienna Volksoper . She celebrated her debut as Martha in “ Tiefland ” with great success and worked with conductors such as Herbert von Karajan , Horst Stein , Hans Wallat and Leonard Bernstein etc. together.

Numerous guest performances and concerts followed, including many charity concerts in West Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States (e.g. in Atlanta in the Mozart Society Hall). She is a member of the jury in international singing competitions. In her free time she supports young talents.

In addition to her artistic work, she deals with breathing techniques and sound meditation. She trained with yoga teacher Elisabeth Haich and yoga master Selvaradja Yesudian . She also acquired knowledge of the “ Silva Mind Control Method ” in Switzerland . She also received Buddhist spiritual training from Rinpoche Gyese Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Amipa (the highest Tibetan teacher with the Dalai Lama). Course with Tom Kenyon (Hatoren Channeling).
